OUR TEAM

Larry Johnson CPA, the founder of our firm, is a member of the AICPA and Kansas Society of CPA’s. Larry graduated in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in administration with a major in accounting from WSU. Larry has been a licensed CPA since 1977 and has maintained his 40 hours of CPE since then. He is married to Jan, and together they have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. His interests include golf and watching his grandchildren’s school and sports activities.

Daniel Johnson CPA, graduated from Cloud County Community College in Concordia, Kansas with an Undergraduate degree in 1996. He attended Cloud County on a baseball scholarship. From the fall of 1996 to the spring of 1999 Daniel attended WSU receiving a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Accounting. Daniel has been a licensed CPA in the state of Kansas maintaining his 40 hours of CPE since then. Daniel is also a member of the AICPA and Kansas Society of CPA’s. He began working for Johnson & Company CPA's, PA in 2000. Daniel has 3 children Noah, Emma, and Katy all of which keep him very busy throughout the calendar year with their numerous school and sports activities. His interests include coaching his kids in basketball and baseball along with playing golf as often as he can. If Daniel were not a CPA, he would love to be a professional golf caddy on the women’s PGA Tour.

Debbie Titus has over 30 years of experience in public accounting working for Clawson & Associates, Johnson & Company CPA's, PA, as well as some other well known area businesses. She graduated from Derby High School in 1971 and attended WSU from the fall of 1971 until the fall of 1973. Debbie’s years of experience in customer service along with her caring, friendly personality make her a valuable asset to Johnson & Company CPA's, PA. Debbie is married to Mike and has 2 daughters, Monica and Jessica. If Debbie was not employed by Johnson & Company CPA's, PA, she would love to do volunteer work. Her area of interests include flower gardening, walking the dog and cheering on KU Basketball.

Heather Smith has been employed in the tax and accounting profession in Derby for over 10 years. She graduated from Friends University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Heather has been employed in the past by Glacier Ice Co., Clawson & Associates and Johnson & Company CPA's, PA. She is a current member of the Professional Association of Accountants in Kansas. Since 2005, Heather’s professionalism with clients and expertise in the tax and accounting field has been the driving force behind the growth of our Company. Heather is married to Will and they have 2 children, Megan and Gavin. If Heather were not working in the accounting field, she would be ___________. Outside of work, her interests include _________.

Mindy Schmidt joined Johnson & Company CPA's, PA in January of 2008 after moving to Derby from her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. In 2006, Mindy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in both Accounting and Business Administration. She is currently attending WSU with the goal of achieving a Masters degree in Accounting. Upon achieving her hour requirement, Mindy’s next task is to take the CPA exam in Kansas in the spring of 2010. Her free time includes studying for the CPA exa, and rooting on her favorite team the Ohio State Buckeyes. Mindy is known for her hard work, attention to detail and willingness to take on new tasks. Mindy is also a key component of the Johnson & Company team.

Miranda Muth graduated from Derby High School in 1996 and attended Wichita State University in the fall of 1996 and spring of 1997. She has worked part time during tax season for Johnson & Company CPA's, PA since 2006. Miranda also runs an in-home daycare and is busy with her 3 children Noah, Emma and Katy. Her interests include watching her children’s sporting and school activities, cheering for Kansas State football and basketbal, and spending time with friends and family. Miranda has performed a wide range of duties inside of our Company that have created and continue to create tremendous value for our firm.
